Heffernan Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Hello, was just gonna start on OpenRCT2 Question: have the limitations of 255 Rides/Attrations/Personnel been removed in OpenRct2? Thanks.
jensj12 Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 The limits are still there, but will be removed in the future. You’ll notice when they are removed.

I really don't know much (nearly nothing) about coding, but is coveting the old save format to the new save format something that's just more time-consuming than it is difficult? Because if it's just a matter of hours and hours of typing out basic stuff I can try and help with that. Removing the limits is the number one thing I have wanted since I learned of Open RCT2, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Nevertheless, it's been a few years since I last remarked on it in this thread and we still aren't there yet. So I'm thinking to myself, "Well why the hell don't you help out then and do something about it!" lol, so can i help? Nevertheless, awesome work guys. I continue to be excited about this project! 1
jensj12 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Not sure if it is possible to directly help with the new save format, as somebody is already working on it. The best way to directly talk to the devs is on their Discord server. You can always help by solving other issues so other people don't have to do that. There are a number of issues marked as "Good first issue" to familiarize with the codebase. Further instructions on how to build OpenRCT2 locally are also on GitHub. 1
