Extracting game files

Recently I wanted to find a way to extract files from the game to use elsewhere. Specifically, I'm trying to find out how to extract the music files used on rides.

 

To make it simple, here's what I want to do:

I have a game called Locomotion (I'm sure some of you have heard of it) and I wanted to use RCT music in that game, and vice versa. I want to find the music files in both games so I can swap them between the games as I want, but I have no idea where to look/where to go to do such a thing. Any tips?

 

I also should note that I am not very good at coding, so I may not understand a lot of complex terms involving it.

Look for the data folder in your RCT2 (not OpenRCT2) installation folder. The CSSxx.dat files contain the music used in the game (CSS17.dat is the main menu music).
