To clarify, my files are from the steam versions of both RCT1 and 2. I looked into the properties of both associated folders and changed the permissions to "all" for all applications and all restricted applications. For some reason it would not let me change the permissions for "CREATOR OWNER" at all (yes its actually typed in all caps in my PC. I did not just do that here). I have a feeling I am missing a detail somewhere, or its just not possible to do what I am trying to do. -

I have been attempting for quite a while now to modify track designs that come pre-packaged with the game files. However, whenever I attempt to do so, even if it something simple such as renaming the track, the game refuses to do so, stating "the file is write-protected", or something along those lines. Is there any way to bypass this write protection so I can modify the tracks? (If anyone is wondering why, I want to "correct" designs that have obvious flaws, or objects/paths etc. which I want to change/remove from the design.)

I have noticed that the station pieces of the chairlift seem to render OVER any station theme that is used on the ride. I am pretty sure these pieces are supposed to be under the station roof rather than above it.

It is also worth noting that the lighting will only work in windowed mode (at least that's how it works for me). It took me a while to figure it out. -
I have come across a very strange bug. I was setting up restrooms throughout my park and noticed that Restroom 2 was costing $80.00 an hour to run, while every other restroom was costing the usual amount of $49.00. I have tried renaming it, but this seems to have no effect on the issue. It appears that the second restroom built, regardless of its name, will always have this issue. (for instance, try naming the first restroom placed to something other than "restroom 1", and the second restroom placed into the park will charge 80.00 instead of 49.00).

I already have RCT1 and RCT2 in OpenRCT2, but I don't think the game is able to import every texture (such as the log roof land, rusty roof land, etc). I want to know if these files can somehow be accessed manually and placed into the data folder, or something.

Recently I wanted to find a way to extract files from the game to use elsewhere. Specifically, I'm trying to find out how to extract the music files used on rides. To make it simple, here's what I want to do: I have a game called Locomotion (I'm sure some of you have heard of it) and I wanted to use RCT music in that game, and vice versa. I want to find the music files in both games so I can swap them between the games as I want, but I have no idea where to look/where to go to do such a thing. Any tips? I am looking for a way to get the RCT1 land surface textures into Open RCT2. I already know that they will not import from RCT1 into Open RCT2 due to how saving files works, so I have been looking for alternatives. Where could I go to download such a thing? I have already tried NEDesigns, but can't seem to have any luck there.
