Valcyon Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Occasionally my mechanics don't repair the rides when they break down. The mechanic walks up to the entrance of the ride, stops, walks away from the ride, and tries to go back. The mechanic keeps going back and fourth in the queue line not doing anything when a ride breaks down. The guests can get into the rides just fine (when it's working).
AfterShocK Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 On RCT1/2 mechanics enter rides through their exits, if you have a patrol area around the entrances they will not be able to do anything.

imlegos Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 This is probably the cause of a misconception in PenutButterGamer's video on the game, where he says that his mechanic won't fix the ride despite apparently having been picked up and forced into the queue. The mechanic should indeed be zoned to go through the exit of the ride.
