wuling-rct
Hello: I downloaded the latest stable release (OpenRCT2-0.3.4.1-macos-x86-64.zip) from https://openrct2.org/downloads/releases/latest. When I unzip it and move it to my Applications folder, I get the following error when trying to open it: "OpenRCT2" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware. Right clicking it lets me open it but I want to ensure this is normal and that I shouldn't be concerned about malware with the download? v0.3.4 and v0.3.3 also gave the same error when downloaded. I did verify the SHA-256 checksum and it appeared okay. Thanks in advance for your help. Link to comment
Gymnasiast
It is normal, yes. macOS will display this error for any application, unless the developers buy an expensive certificate from Apple. As long as you download your release from our GitHub page, or openrct2.io or openrct2.org, it will be malware-free. 1 Link to comment
