jensj12 Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 Can you post a screenshot of the folder you're trying to select and/or post the path you've selected? If you installed RCT1 through steam in the default location, it should be detected automatically.
IAmTheDerwood Posted July 13, 2021 Author Posted July 13, 2021 If I can learn to screenshot site. I can when I go home. I know I go c drive -x86- steam- find the roller coaster tycoon folder and it says contains no copy or something

I right clicked on rct 1 to bring up the locations under general( use this to try and get an idea where to go to ) >This pc >C:/ drive >User >(enter user name) nothing then i try >This PC >User >x86 Program files >steam Then Another Dead End I had it last night pop up that error message after finding some file named Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic "Selected folder does not contain a valid Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 Install" is my error message
jensj12 Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 Please use proper formatting in your messages, this is unnecessarily hard to read. Looks like you found .../Program Files (x86)/Steam, then go to .../Steam/steamapps/common and select your RCT1 directory there. Note that RCT Classic is NOT the same as RCT1 (it is a modified RCT2 with recreations of the RCT1 scenarios), you need to original RCT game with both expansions or the deluxe edition for the RCT1 features to work.
