Mechanics not responding to rides

I'm not sure if this is a problem for any other rides or scenarios, but I have a problem on Jolly Jungle with the spiral slide. The mechanics receive a call to go and fix it but then just walk around aimlessly as if they hadn't gotten a call. Very weird.

Make sure there’s a path from the mechanic to the exit of the ride. If that doesn’t help, please post the save file and the game version you’re using.
