arcticbean52 Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 I downloaded OpenRCT2 excited to play in sandbox mode! I thought that was a feature of Open, but maybe I'm mistaken. How do I play RCT2 in sandbox mode?
X7123M3-256 Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 (edited) What do you mean by sandbox? If you just want a blank map, you can create one in the scenario editor. You can also set it to have no money or objective (OpenRCT2 adds a "Have Fun" objective that isn't in vanilla). OpenRCT2 does have a "sandbox mode", which is accessible from the cheats menu, but it has a specific meaning - in OpenRCT2 "sandbox mode" lets you edit land ownership and park map size during normal gameplay. Ruedii Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) I do agree that there needs to be a couple completely blank "Sandbox mode" templates. Basically one template for each ground type, full maximum RCT2 size, flat, with scattered appropriate trees. It should be set to "have fun" and "no money" by default. Just follow the above instructions to make a "sandbox mode" level. Edited January 3, 2020 by Ruedii
