@Gymnasiasttagging you here brother. gog files require renaming. RCT2: rollercoaster_tycoon_2_triple_thrill_pack.exe and rollercoaster_tycoon_2_triple_thrill_pack-1.bin RCT1: rollercoaster_tycoon_deluxe.exe and rollercoaster_tycoon_deluxe-1.bin I don't think it really matters as long as the extra dots in the file version are removed. 2.01.043(17987)

@grscott8you might be having the same problem I ran into last night with innoextract. Rename your setup files to rollercoaster_tycoon_2_triple_thrill_pack.exe and rollercoaster_tycoon_2_triple_thrill_pack-1.bin You can't see it here, but when installing with innoextract the terminal throws 2 errors. First, it can't locate the files at all and then it can't locate the bin extracting only the folder structure like you have it. The reason for this is that most likely the setup files from gog were batch renamed for use with their galaxy installer. It's possible that the extractor/terminal might not understand the extra dots in the file version or the whole naming convention. Test this out and let me know. I think you'll be aright!

I think Extractor takes exe and then uses that to 'unzip' bin. The RollerCoaser Tycoon 2 folder you have selected is the unpackaged version. Click through folders like Scenario or ObjData they should have files in them. That would give you a hint that everything has been extracted and you can then proceed with OperRCT2.

Second time install and it was something else. Starting from gog, no way to download the files until finally on their FAQ page they listed a link. There's no way to download the innoexporter either! I got some kind of Portfile.txt in like 2 hours. The only working links are via Homebrew which I've never even heard of. It then started: xcode, path incorrect, file name incompatible, packaging this that, chatgpt: sudo, ls...really!? After all of that, I opened OpenRCT, resized the window, watched the new park on home screen and close the game. That's how messed up the process was. There's no way folks can access it right now on mac. These tools are far advance even with some coding I had to relay on ai. There were troubleshooting steps requiring exe and bin files renaming. Overall, the whole installation process was a mere 2/10. Some thoughts: โข innoexporter like system, can it be integrated into the launcher? โข The learning curve to play on mac os is extremely steep. I would go as far as to say 2 out of potential 100 will be able to successfully install and play.

I spent the last couple of weeks creating these slides to help walk you through some of my thoughts and ideas. I hope someone gets a good laugh out of this and maybe one of you is crazy enough to make this all happened. I did my best to make it clear but it's not without blemishes. Enjoy, leave a note. Would love to hear what everyone thinks. Thanks!

Welcome! I wouldn't be surprised seeing BostonDynamics terminator bot called MrJackson moon walking while playing OpenRTC4D on Tetris with Dolby Atoms - all while singing opera in Celine Dion's voice with Fluke's Slap it beats in the background! ๐บ

@Gymnasiast leaving some feedback and ideas. I find the gap between each of the toolbar blocks/sections distracting. I spent sometime with it and I find that when you move around the map, each one of the gaps could have slightly different light/contrast: one could be bright because of the white coaster supports; another one dark - picking up tree right next to it or peeps walking by and this creates like a shimmering effect. I did a mockup without spacing to take a look. Also, sharing few icon ideas for inspiration. I thought "cheats" could use another icon and for the map (lighthouse) I tried few ideas, but they all take it too far from the original and maybe a light upgrade could do. Thanks!

@Gymnasiast it took me a scenario, but I am loving centered icons! I was a little bit confused with the map icon rotating in the toolbar. Is that supposed to be a compass? I thought it was a bug seeing it pointing at 3 o'clock then realized it rotates lol. I think that's actually a light house (navigation?). Maybe needs an icon contest.

@ryguyoaye have you tried using path tool to connect the missing bits? What I am seeing is a pre-build placed with the scenery option toggled on; the missing path could be due to elevation differences or missing all together from the saved ride. When you toggle "Roman Pantheon" icon in the window where you select a pre-build ride or option to create your own, you can turn off custom scenery which would make you build your own path to connect everything. In the game's toolbar, on the right > 5th icon. two choices: regular path and queue line both in single tile or bridge modes. Give this a shot! Let us know us know that tool works.
