Issue finding RCT classic files

Hi there

I'm new to OpenRCT - having played OpenTTDX and RCT for donkeys. I watched a YouTube video about Chris Sawyer over the weekend (yes I'm that sad) and learnt about OpenRCT. So excited to get playing.

I'm on a Mac, and when I run OpenRCT I get the message "Open RCT2 needs files from the original RCT or RCT classic in order to work". It then asks me to navigate to the directory where RCT Classic is - so far - so good!

Sadly though, I nav to the Apps folder (where RCT Classic is) and get the error "Could not find /Data/g1.dat at this path".

Would anyone be able to assist? I'd be most grateful.

The Mac version of RCT Classic is a bit different from the Windows version. Can you right-click the RCT Classic application -> ‘Show package contents’ and then navigate through the folders until you find one called ‘Assets’. Copy this folder somewhere. For example, create /Users/Rob/Downloads/RCTC and copy Assets to there as a subfolder. Then start OpenRCT2 and give it the ‘/Users/Rob/Downloads/RCTC’ path.
