markxgrande Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Hello ! Does anyone know why this is popping up when im trying to launch from the launcher? I was playing last night just fine but it wont let me launch it today.
jensj12 Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 I think this has to do with CPU architecture. A possible cause would be trying to run a 64-bit (x64) program on a 32-bit (x86) machine. Can you try a different version from https://openrct2.org/downloads/develop/latest to see which one works? (try ARM64 first, then x86. Ignore the miscellaneous build at the bottom, you don't need that) This is sadly not a setting you can change in that launcher.
markxgrande Posted June 15, 2023 Author Posted June 15, 2023 The launcher looked like it updated & now it works. Thank you for responding !
MDouglasMiller Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Hello! I am brand new to Open RCT and I am having issues. I am also using a 32 bit system, as old as the hills, and when I try to launch Open RCT2 I get a message that says that it is not a valid win32 application. I used the x86 version because it was the only one that stated it was for 32 bit but it is still not working. Any ideas?
