Help! My extractor is not working for extracting game files

Hello,

Ive been watching one of my favorite youtubers play RTC and it has been really nice to see and hear the familiar sounds and graphics. After some deliberation I diced to take the plunge for my self and started my journey to playing this game on a mac. I am no tech person and I feel a bit over my head on how to get this to work. Especially when is starts saying anything in code. After watching a few youtube videos on how to get it to work I came to an impasse. I downloaded an extractor from Mac Source Ports.com and for what ever reason it wont open. Please let me know if you know whats happening and how to fix this or a different program I could use. I love this game and it would be a great joy to play it again.

This person is on a Mac, so that’s not going to fly. (Besides which, every operating system has supported extracting ZIPs out of the box since the early 2000s.)

Where did you buy RollerCoaster Tycoon 2? Was it on GOG.com or somewhere else?
