Open rct 2 launcher

I am wondering how i update my open rct 2 game.I dowloaded the game through the releases and did not install the launcher.So how do i update my game or do i have to install a new release of the game everytime.

If you do not use the launcher, you'll have to manually download and install a new build every time you want to update.
