Does Roller Coaster Deluxe on steam work with open rct?

Hey hello, just new here and wanted mod my roller coaster tycoon deluxe game. But I had a problem with finding my dat files. 

Does this problem occur  because I have the Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 installed?

If so which version do I need to buy?  -> this one maybe RollerCoaster Tycoon® 2: Triple Thrill Pack https://store.steampowered.com/app/285330/RollerCoaster_Tycoon_2_Triple_Thrill_Pack/?

The RCT2 Triple Thrill Pack is indeed what you need to play OpenRCT2. Having RCT1 (Deluxe) installed unlocks a few minor features of OpenRCT2, but is not enough to play.
