No in game data to be found

I am incredibly new to this so bear with me please. I have just (after much trouble) figured out how to download RTC2  to my Mac after purchasing it on steam. The game now runs but when I try to open a scenario there are none to be found in the window the game opens. When I look in finder there is a scenario folder but it is empty. I have also tried to do a sandbox mode but it showed that there were no rides/attractions in the game either. Did I do something wrong when I downloaded? Please help, very lost.

Try copying the files from into your OpenRCT2 scenario folder manually (it should happen automatically, but if it isn't then manually copying them across could act as a workaround).
