Landscape generating question

Concerning using the landscape generating tool, I have played around with it a little but other than changing the base and adding trees or not, I don't see anything different. Is there a list that describes what each parameter changes. I know that on page 1, changing Water Level to 0 does just that but changing Base Height doesn't seem to have any effect. Page 2 is self explanatory, but page three ? Again size and water level are easy but the rest is Greek to me.

And before you say it, yes I always have questions. That is how you learn! Thank you for your patience.

Im pretty sure base frequency changes how frequent elevation changes are.
