Coryc209 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 (edited) Hello, I'm new to the forums but have been a long-time fan of the RCT series. First off, I want to extend a HUGE thank you to all the developers for their hard work in revamping, fixing, and expanding this game—your efforts are truly appreciated! I'm 43 and discovered OpenRCT2 just a year ago, and I was blown away by what you all have accomplished. After playing for a while, I’ve taken note of a few ideas I think could enhance the game even further: Ride Crashes: Currently, deliberate ride crashes (e.g., "Impulsive") with parts of the ride that land on pathways guests are walking on don't harm guests, but I believe they should. If you are doing it on purpose, you expect to see it kill guests just as it does if the ride crashes with guests on it. Weather Effects: It would be great if weather conditions affected the ground. For instance, rain should create puddles on pathways and ride areas, and snow should accumulate over time. This accumulation should affect guests such as getting stuck due to deep snow or puddles etc. Handymen Responsibilities: Handymen should not only sweep paths but also clear built-up snow when it’s snowing if weather changes I suggested go into effect. Drain Objects: It would be useful to have drain objects to place on pathways during rain to manage water buildup. Again this assumes weather changes I suggested go into affect. Dual Track/Dual Station Rides: When using dual tracks or dual stations, it would be helpful if an even number of trains were automatically assigned to the adjacent station when testing or opening the ride. Currently, you have to time it perfectly—starting the first train and quickly enabling “Synchronize with adjacent station” while unchecking “Maximum waiting time”—to sync the departing train with the one still in the station. "Select All" Button for Object Selection Screen: A "Select All" button on the Object Selection screen would be a great addition, so players don’t have to use an auto-clicker or spend a long time manually enabling everything. Multiple Train Engines & Tracks- When you build a custom track, sometimes you are required to build up hills. Once the train approaches said hill, it struggles and slows down a lot. It would be nice if you could play around with adding a second or third train engine which would affect the trains performance. It would also be nice with there was railroad intersection crossing so you could build tracks going in different directions. Edited August 15 by Coryc209 1
