OpenRCT2 not running on MacOS

I'm trying to set up OpenRCT2 on my Macbook Pro running on Catalina. I have purchased and downloaded RCT2 on GOG and used homebrew and innoextract to successfully unpack the installation files. I downloaded the latest OpenRCT2 release for MacOS (OpenRCT2-0.2.5-macos-x86_64.zip), which set up the application OpenRCT2. However, when I try to run OpenRCT2, I get a simple error message with no explanation: "The application 'OpenRCT2' can't be opened." Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any recommended solution?

Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Allow apps downloaded from:

Make sure this isn't set to the default "App Store"

Thanks slamhauser - looks like it was already set to "app store and identified developers". Interestingly, I was able to launch the latest development build without an issue, but the released version won't run. Not sure what the problem could be

Reportedly there were some bad .zip's on March 27 - if you perhaps downloaded then, try downloading now.
