Headless server auto-update

Hi guys,

I created a headless OpenRCT2 server on fedora 25 with a friend, we would like to have the server be on the latest OpenRCT2 build as the clients. (with the launcher)
Can it be implemented as a simple option to have the server update for a given interval or at a set time?

And one more thing, how exactly can we update the server? Do we have to compile it again? (so server has to be turned off manually first)
As I have searched everywhere for documantation about updating, but couldn't find what I was looking for (for a headless server).
