[Difference between v0.1.1 (Aug 2017) and latest development builds?]

What are the major changes between the latest final version (v0.1.1 from Aug 2017) and latest development builds (daily, currently at v0.1.2)?

[Does OpenRCT2 Launcher auto-update?]

Just wondering.

I'm part of the Develop ring in the launcher.

Basically this involves replacing the 'RCT2' application in your steam folder with the 'OpenRCT2' application, and renaming the 'OpenRCT2' application to 'RCT2' so it is recognized by steam. I, of course, understand the reason why.

However, ideally, I'd like Steam to track my playtime whilst playing OpenRCT2.

I've noticed a "Pause game when Steam overlay is open" option in OpenRCT2 but it does nothing because I'm not running OpenRCT2 from Steam (as that would launch the non-OpenRCT2 version, wouldn't it?)
