GabeCube Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I have installed the game on my desktop and laptop computer. My issue is: each one has the game installed in different directories. It seems like the settings for the path to look for game files is being synced on the cloud in Windows because of OneDrive. That means that every time I set up the path on one computer, it breaks it in the other. I have done nothing to sync the settings other than having my Documents and default folders syncing with OneDrive. It seems to me like that shouldn't be the case, at least from my point of view. Not sure if there's a way to fix that without telling OneDrive to stop syncing my files? Any other suggestions?
GabeCube Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 After more research, it seems like I cannot disable syncing the Documents folder and subfolders, as per link below: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/choose-which-onedrive-folders-to-sync-to-your-computer-98b8b011-8b94-419b-aa95-a14ff2415e85 I have tried going into OneDrive settings and indeed it will not allow me NOT to selectively disable syncing of the OpenRTC2 folder in Documents, which I *assume* is where the settings being synced might be?
GabeCube Posted October 7 Author Posted October 7 I looked there and found the configuration file that indeed stores the game file paths. So unless I completely turn off OneDrive, this will continue to happen. While I'm not a developer, it is my understanding that it would make more sense for settings to be stored in the AppData folder in Windows?

If you do not know where you can start playing slot machines online, then I would like to recommend this site - https://slоtscity.ua/ru/slots because on this site it is really easy and simple to play slot machines online and win real money, and that's why I like this site and its service so much! It sounds like the game stores its settings in a folder synced by OneDrive (likely in Documents). You could try excluding the game's settings folder from OneDrive sync or moving the game files to the same directory on both computers to avoid conflicts. Alternatively, contact the game's support to see if there's a way to separate settings per device.

Again, if you read my posts above, it is not possible in Windows 11 to disable specific folders in Documents to not sync, as per the link I shared: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/choose-which-onedrive-folders-to-sync-to-your-computer-98b8b011-8b94-419b-aa95-a14ff2415e85 I can't really use the same directory because my games are installed on a secondary hard drive on my desktop computer, which is not the C drive. The laptop does not have multiple drives, and I need to install it on the C drive there, so that is not an option. Yes, I need the OpenRTC developers to look into this, which is why I mentioned that it seems like it should be moved to AppData. The question is: what is the best way to request that to the developers? Open a ticket on GitHub is my best guess?
