Server doesn't recognize my ip address

After the update to version 4.0, my usual username on multiplayer servers now has a #2 after it. I assume the servers think I am a different person than the person with the original username. Is there a way to remove the #2 behind the username?

I have the same problem, and not only on one server, but on many, some of which had given me perms through Discord.

Because of this, I'm put in the Join Discord for Perms group again, and I'm unable to build rides in those servers.
