Some sounds are missing. Please help!

Hello, I have a problem with the sounds in openRCT2. The majority of the sounds and music work fine, but there are some that doesn't play at all. For example when you place down objects like paths or building coasters, or certain sounds connected to particular rides. An example of the latter is the launch sound in the free fall ride. Some coasters make no sound at all. How can I trouble shoot this? I have reinstalled the game but it didn't help. I have RCT2 installed on steam and OpenRCT2 installed as normal.
