Problems with merge

My son was trying to make a roller coaster with a merged track the way it was done in the "Git Gud at OpenRCT2 #62: Block sections on a triple launch coaster!'

However, we can't get the merge to work. I've attached the save file. Any ideas as to what we are doing wrong?

Nevermind. We figured this out. It was a matter of making sure that everything was perfect and jiggering a few things around
