Shop & Stall/Ride Construction Question - Changing height

Hi everyone! New to the openRCT2 program and am so glad I found it. Question about shops & stalls and ride construction. How do I change the height of something I'm building? I'm starting with Crazy Castle and want to build some shops that can be accessed by the elevated paths. How do I construct a shop, stall, or ride so that it is at the same height as the raised paths? I'm on a MacBook Air if that helps.

You hold down the SHIFT key, then move your mouse up and down to adjust the height. (This also works for scenery, by the way, and can also be used to place stuff underground.)
