  1. In the features list (on steam store page) they said they would include isometric view and a financial system, no word about it in the video while that's the only thing I'm interested in. As far as I know it's more a sim than a tycoon game. I might try if there's a demo available, but OpenRCT will most likely be much better for me.
I doubt it will work even if they implement it. Isometric view kinda only works good if we're talking 2D sprites, not humongous 3D Ferris Wheels that take up 40% of the view screen.
  2. It seems you can't edit the first post of a thread :/As for RCT World, it seems like RCT 3 with higher-poly graphics, a dumbed-down interface and a goal to save the worthless company called Atari from yet another bankruptcy with a game that has the quality potential of RCT 4 Mobile.OMG, the guest animations and movement at 7:25 hurt my eyes. What is this, 1997?

  3. That high? Hardly :DEvery guest has his own preferred intensity and nausea tolerance, which you can check by clicking on a guest and then on the tab with his face. The Extreme and Ultra-Extreme intensity ratings indicate a problem with your track. By taking a glance, I see you're not using banks on turns where the train has high speeds. As strange as it sounds, the game tries to follow the laws of physics when it comes to ride behaviour (except when the Merry-Go-Round breaks down, I'd like to see someone explain that :D ). If a train reaches a high speed and approaches a standard turn, the riders' inertia forces them to jump sideways in place, but if you rotate the same turn with banked tracks, the ride will be much smoother. Here's the option to do so:View imageAlso, if you expect a train to have high speeds when approaching a station, you can place speed brakes to gradually reduce the speed instead of having it just stop abruptly after reaching, say, 90 km/h.

  4. Hello everyone,long-time RCT player here. I've tested only wee bits of OpenRCT2 and you already got a very intrigued fan :) The last time I saw a link to a project called like this, it was nothing but small bits of bare code. Now look at you!I'm especially (positively!) surprised by the fact you're coding all of this in regular C, a language I started coding with (at Uni), so I can't wait to take a more detailed peek some time, maybe code a little teensy tiny eye candy ;)I really love how you're also bringing in some RCT1 stuff, and since I favour RCT1 over RCT2 in most aspects, I find this absolutely amazing and a sign how OpenRCT2 will just ooze of awesomeness and quality from start to finish, especially when it catches on.I'll be sniffing around, looking forward to... well, everything :)Greetings from Croatia!
