Is your queue line too long? You can go into the ride and change the amount of time that the next boat has to wait. Make sure that there is no max time set: leave that unchecked. You can add more boats: 15 is the default, but you can raise that by going into the cheats and raising it up to 31. Making your station longer will allow more boats to work more comfortably. Usually, I have my wait time at about 5 or 6 seconds.
If the boats are getting lined up in the station while the ride is operating, decrease the wait time. I usually shoot for no more than 2 or 3 boats waiting. Also, uncheck the "wait for 1/2, 3/4 full load.

Yep: same thing here. At least I now know that it wasn't just a crash on my end. I hope they get it fixed soon.....I miss playing it!

Was fine before latest update. Now, main screen comes up fine. But, when choosing any game, new or saved, the game opens on top of the main screen: the main screen never leaves. The new screen is superimposed on the start screen. This is running on Linux.

Using Ubuntu 18.04 and cannot find where the game files are on the hard drive. I really want to back up everything, but cannot find them.

Update: After saving the game and exiting and going back into the game, I was able to open the ride. Not sure what was going on.

Windows IS a virus. Avast seems to work much better.

Same problem here, but I assumed that I am using the stable build since I never did anything but install the program. I never opted for any beta version that I am aware of.

All I can remember was that I saw an update on my Linux install sometime mid week, last week, and then no picture.

Been playing RCT2 since it came out. But, after switching to Linux 10 years ago it became a real chore at times to get it to work using Wine. I had almost given up on it when I found OpenRCT2 and now I am enjoying it as much as I did way back when. Thank you soooooo much for doing this!!!!!
Now, I will wait patiently for the time when park size can be increased form the 256 x 256 limit!

Running on Linux: how do I get to the console?

Park is huge: maximum land size, 58 large roller coasters, train around entire park, lots of shops, 150 employees. I guess that this will be my largest ever. Sigh.

I have a park (RCT2) running with 7,700 people in it while still honestly maintaining a 999 rating. The large tram worked until I hit the current total of people, but now it no longer functions. Have I maxed out something?

Another update. I am running Linux and had an update this morning. I did not see anything from OpenRCT2, but reboot was asked for after the updates installed. After rebooting, the game seems to be running correctly now.

Tried it again last night: kinda weird. There are areas where the people and the rides move normally, but it appears like the problem is in sections. In one section, everything is fine. But, right next to that, people aren't moving and the trains on the coaster are not moving correctly.

Got the Linux update this morning and was running well all day until now. Went into the game and the people were either not moving or would "jump" to a new spot. Also the coaster (only rides I have in park) are being weird: it looks like there is one coaster right above another one. One will move and then it looks like they are coming apart: looks like only one or two cars move. However, if I click on the coaster and get the box up where I can change things, the animation is fine in the box, but not on the main part of the screen.
Sorry that my first post has to be a bad one. I want you to know how very happy I am that I can now play my all-time favorite game again!!! THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!

Running Linux. Installed the OpenRCT2 update this morning. Now, on the air powered coaster, it appears that pieces of track are missing. The ride operates just fine, just looks weird. Screen shot attached.
