	After the update to version 4.0, my usual username on multiplayer servers now has a #2 after it. I assume the servers think I am a different person than the person with the original username. Is there a way to remove the #2 behind the username?

	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	since a few days, I have the problem, when I open the multiplayer menu in OpenRCT2, the server list opens absolutely normal. But when I try to connect with a server, I ALWAYS get the message "can't connect to the server". This haoppens IMMEDIATELY; the program doesn't even TRY to connect to the server. It gives only the error message.
</p>

<p>
	What do I make wrong?

	I know this sort of question has been asked here loads of times, but I've read through a bunch of those posts and I still can't figure out why this isn't working.
</p>

<p>
	I reserved a static IP for my computer and set up port forwarding for port 11753. I also set up rules in my firewall for port 11753, so that wouldn't get in the way. If I start a server, canyouseeme.org tells me it can see my service on 11753. Everything seems like it's working, but I still can't get anything to show up on the master server list and no attempts to join via hostname/IP have been successful either. It shows up when on the LAN, but everywhere else...nothing. I've confirmed that my network version is the same on both machines (0.3.5.1-0). I'm no networking expert, so I've pretty much run out of ideas.
</p>

<p>
	Does anyone out there have any thoughts? Anything I can try that might get this to work?

	I'll be blunt. The EU open servers have a racism problem.
</p>

<p>
	How bad? Try a server currently open with a swastika in the middle, whose description mocks the 6 million jews killed in the Holocaust
</p>

<p>
	How about the main FFA server(s) having a respected user with the user name "Dead N***** storage", who describes western liberalism as a cancer. And one of the main mods and person in charge of the bots in said servers thinks that spamming chat with the N word is a valid response to being told to stop tolerating racism. And considers criticism of said racism one of the few things worthy of actually preventing users from interacting with the server, not making mocking Holocaust and racism references.
</p>

<p>
	And then users just going to other servers and adding swastikas in the landscape, changing signs to racial slurs, and making rides/stalls with racial slurs in the name.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I understand that these are all personal servers, but this is fucking disgusting, especially when they actually go into other servers to spread their racism. This is not a community we should be allowing. There needs to be a way for external moderation to prevent this, to make sure the impression of Open RCT2's community is not one of actual racism and fascism.

I see the dev team here have a docker image of OpenRCT2-CLI, but I've not a clue how to pass the variables into the docker image during setup to A: Even run at all, B: maintain user permissions, and C : allow OpenRCT2 to mount my local filesystem to read/write save games locally.

	Hello
</p>

<p>
	I just spent 3 hours trying to connect to a friends game over a local network, browsing forums, learning how to open ports, different settings, everything! I finally found a solution that works and thought it would be nice to post here in case there are other people like me trying to figure this out.
</p>

<p>
	The Problem: Host sets up a server and other players in their local network get the dreadful "unable to connect to server" message.
</p>

<p>
	The fix: You need to see if computers in your network can ping each other.
</p>

<p>
	Step by Step:                                                            Step 1:
</p>

<p>
	                         Computer 1 - open the command prompt and type "ipconfig" and hit enter. Look for your IPV4 address, should be something like 192.168.x.x
</p>

<p>
	                         Computer 2 - repeat process for computer 1, IPV4 address should be slightly different
</p>

<p>
	Now we need to see if both computers can see each other on the network (I believe this is where most of the problems occur)
</p>

<p>
	                                                                                      Step 2:
</p>

<p>
	                          Computer 1 - in the command prompt type in "ping IPV4ADDRESSCOMPUTER2" after that is finished you will see 1 of 2 things.
</p>

<p>
	                         (A) packets: sent = 4, received = 4, lost = 0, (0% loss)   This is great, this means computer1 can see computer2 in the network
</p>

<p>
	                         (B) packets: sent = 4, received = 0, lost = 4 (100% loss)   Aww man, this means computer1 cannot see computer2 in the network, shucks!
</p>

<p>
	If you run into issue (B) then you have an issue with the firewall. First make sure that your computer's network is set to private and open up your firewall settings. Temporarily disable your firewall for private networks on computer2. Repeat step 2 and you should get a response this time. Now you know there is an issue, re enable the firewall on computer 2. Look up how to fix this through google. "cannot ping computers on same network" should be fine. I am no computer expert. You got this, believe in the me that believes in you.
</p>

<p>
	Make sure both computers can see each other using "ping IPV4ADDRESSOFOTHERCOMPUTER" if they both can, you are in the golden age!
</p>

<p>
	                                                                                   Step 3:
</p>

<p>
	                            Host : Take note of your IPV4 address by using ipconfig in the command prompt. Start up OpenRTC. Click multiplayer and start server. Port should be set to 11753. Enter all the other settings as you wish, create your server name, max players, description, ect. Make sure the checkbox for advertise is checked. Start the game up.
</p>

<p>
	                            Players: Remember that IPV4 address I told you to take note of? Well now comes the coupe de grace for this multiplayer server annoyance. Click on multiplayer, click add server and enter the Hosts IPV4 address. After that, start up the game and VOILA! Now you can play RCT with local buddies.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	This is what worked for me after scouring through google and every thread on this board and doing my own troubleshooting. In my case I found that Computer1 could ping Computer2 in my network but not the other way around. In this case I just started the server on Computer2 and can connect with Computer1 with no problem. I know its an issue with my firewall, but I am tired of messing with computer settings.
</p>

<p>
	Anyways, hope this helps a poor soul out there like mine, and can save them the 3 hours it took me playing IT simulator rather than a rollercoaster tycoon sim.
</p>

	I'm extremely knew to all of this but I've spent about 2 hours trying to create my own server for a couple of friends. I've so far have tried port forwarding but typing in the IP address or looking up the server on the list did nothing. I've also tried using Hamachi which got us closer to connecting: If they type in an IP address, then it says "unable to connect", but they can see the name of the server and a green circle next to it. But it also says "unable to connect". What am I missing here for this to work? We can both connect other people's servers but not mine. I've tried having them type just the IP address as well as adding the port code attached. (Does the attaching the port code look like xx.xxx.xxx:PORTNUMBERS ? or would it also use "."?) I've lost my mind trying to figure this out and most of the info online are 4 years old!! Please help and thanks!!
